Officer Daniel Pierce is shot in the head, and suffers severe mental trauma. While recovering from his wounds inside a hospital, he pieces together the fragments of his scattered memory to solve the case he was working on and reveal the true identity of the person who shot him. In the process, he unlocks the mystery of his own mind.
